Woke up early and tried to capture the night sky with some long exposure photos. I got lucky and caught a picture of a shooting star!
I took a stroll through the cactus garden at the campsite then hit the road. I’m heading into one of the more difficult parts of the tour, the ups and downs of the Black Range mountains in New Mexico make for some tough riding, but also some beautiful views. Passing through Hatch, the “chile capital of the world” I had to pick up some chiles to send home. I ran into another flat when a screw got lodged in my tire, but I’m getting to be a pro at replacing tubes so it didn’t take too long to fix.
